      Directions

      Take the 427 North to Highway 7. Go west(left) on Highway 7 to Highway 50. Turn south(left) on Highway 50 and travel south for about 1.5 km to the park entrance on the west(right) side. Enter the park and follow the signs to the parking area. Please drive slowly and carefully.

      Format

      The length of this run will depend on a participant’s O-cup handicap. This race will feature the O-Cup Box which consists of a set of 6 to 8 checkpoints which participants may visit in any order. Particpants may skip check points in the box equal to their handicap point total. Handicap points are awarded as follows:

      SPECIAL CASES

      Handicap of 2: Women in the top 10 of Canadian orienteering rankings
      Handicap of 0: Men ranked in the top 10 of Canadian orienteering rankings

      Handicap of 6 if Pregnant

      +2 to above handicap if first O-Cup race ever (ie age 35 female first race = handicap 5)

      +1 to above handicap if first O-Cup series after first race.

      Notes

      SportIdent electronic timing will be used at this event. If you do not have a card please select rental at registration.  If you have your own SI card, please provide the number when registering.

       

      If you are signing up for the Beginner Clinic, it will start at 8:30am.  Please arrive a few minuntes before 8:30am to ensure there is enough time to run the clinic before the race start.  The clinic will include both a lesson and beginnner race!
